How we would work together
A clear process, wherever you are
I work remotely from Sri Lanka (UTC+5:30). Scope, milestones and deliverables are agreed in writing, and day-to-day progress is shared asynchronously so you always know where things stand.

Introductory call
A short video call, scheduled at a time that works in your time zone, to understand your goals, users and constraints. No preparation needed beyond an idea of what you want to achieve.

Written scope and quote
You receive a written proposal: what will be built, what is out of scope, milestones, deliverables and a quote for each milestone. Nothing starts until we both agree on it.
- 03
Build in milestones
Work is delivered in milestones with a staging link you can click through. Written progress updates and async feedback mean we do not need to be online at the same time.
- 04
Launch and handover
Deployment to your own accounts, a walkthrough of the code and admin features, and documentation. Ongoing support or further development can be agreed as a new milestone.
Hi, I'm Niwarthana.
I'm a full-stack developer with a BSc (Hons) in Information Technology from SLIIT. At XGENLABS I build production web and mobile applications, and I have built products like the ones above from data model to deployment.
I care about the parts clients do not always see: sensible data models, readable code, predictable deployments and honest estimates. I would rather tell you early that a feature is expensive than surprise you later.

Do you work with clients outside Sri Lanka?
Yes. I work remotely with businesses and founders in other countries. Calls happen over video, written communication is in English, and scope, milestones and deliverables are agreed in writing before work starts.
How do we handle the time difference?
Sri Lanka is UTC+5:30. That usually overlaps with the UK morning, the Australian afternoon and the early morning in North America. We agree regular meeting windows at the start, and day-to-day updates and feedback happen asynchronously, so progress does not depend on being online at the same time.
How much will my project cost?
It depends on scope, so I do not publish fixed prices. After an introductory call I send a written proposal with milestones and a quote for each one. Each service page lists the main factors that affect scope.
What happens after I send an inquiry?
I read it, then reply by email with any questions and, if it looks like a good fit, a few times for a short call. If your project is not something I can do well, I will tell you rather than take it on.
Who owns the code and accounts?
You do. Code is committed to a repository you control and the application runs on hosting and service accounts in your name. Handover includes documentation and a walkthrough.
What do you need from me to get started?
A description of the problem, who the product is for, any deadlines, and examples of products you like. Designs, documents or an existing codebase help, but are not required.
